36 weeks and 4 days

We are preparing for Audrey's arrival tonight we put the carseat in our "new"silver 2011 Dodge Caravan. Yes, we've converted to the dark side and became a mini van family! I also made major online purchases from Target and Babies R Us with gift cards. Hospital bag is still not packed but we have started. The scary (and exciting) thing is that she could come any time or I could be pregnant for another 5 weeks and 3 days ---Not that I'm counting or anything! I'm planning an overnight trip to Newport, KY with the girls for my friend Kelsey's bachelorette party this weekend and would really like to take computer classes for work on August 20th and 21st but Audrey may have other plans for us. Stuart and his parents have been working like madmen trying to finish our basement. We placed our carpet order and purchased a full mattress for the guest room today and they are priming the new dry wall as I type. They are working so hard and I am so excited to see the progress. A few weeks back a couple we are friends with were nice enough to do a maternity photo shoot.

Audrey's Nursery

Audrey Jane's nursery is coming along nicely. Except momma has some stuff to find homes for! We repainted a ladies desk from Great Grayma Jane to use as a changing table but don't have the pad to go on it yet so for now the bobby is stationed there instead. We also have a rocking chair that used to belong to Great Grandma Audrey. My mom recovered it to match our room and Ms. Sandy Johnson from Ben Johnson made us a lovely afgan to match our decor. Our theme is safari animals and ladybugs and we are using red and baby green as our colors. I am 31 weeks pregnant and Audrey has been very active this week~

Bathroom Remodel

 We are finally finished with our bathroom remodel project. We finished last week, my 27th week of pregnancy. So for those of you that don't know (which should basically be no one at this point!) we are expecting a little girl, Audrey Jane due August 30th.Stuart took some before and after pictures. We are quite happy with the results--despite the fact that we started in January and finished in June!

What a difference some ribbon can make!

At suggestion of one of my good friends I decided to add  touch of red to my our main Christmas Tree.

I was a little hesitant but am very happy with the results. (As Kelsey and I always say: Anna is the the crafty one with style and she and I spend a lot longer trying!) The red ribbon on the tree ties together the whole room, just like Anna suggested~

Holiday Festivities

I am enjoying some vacation time and Stuart and I were able to go to several Christmas celebrations last weekend. I am off again this weekend and we plan to host friends for dinner on Friday and then Rachel comes home from Italy late Saturday night! This the season for staying busy and we are looking forward to hosting a large family dinner on the 20th and that the Carnahan Family will be joining us from Albuquerque.

Christmas Decorations

It only took about a week (thanks to my new addiction to pinterest and that we only decorated in one room of bigger house last year) but Stuart and I are proud to show some of our Christmas decorations. We had a blast decorating and hope many of you get to come by and see our hard work in person because pictures just don't do justice!

So we had to settle for just the stockings (so happy that I bought them as an after thought at the Ballard craft show!)
