2 Months Old

 Our little lady is 2 months old today! How time flies. She now likes (or at least tolerates her swing) and loves being bounced on the exercise ball. She slept thru the night from 1145pm to 630am on Tuesday night but ate twice last night. She is starting to notice noises more and they are starting to wake her up when she is sleeping. We made a trip to U of L campus to show her off this week and she rewarded us with a couple of melt downs while we were out. The combination of being tired and hungry to the point where she doesn't want to eat or sleep is no fun for Momma and Daddy. We are finding that Audrey sometimes just wants to be mad and that eating (or just sucking) is no longer the solution to everything. We have a big weekend coming up with Kelsey's wedding and Lacey's baby shower followed by daddy's trip to Pittsburgh for a conference.

Boo at the zoo

We made our first trip to Halloween at the Zoo on Daddy's 31st birthday with Audrey's friends Annali and Liam (and their parents!) Daddy will be out of town at a conference on Halloween night so we had fun getting Audrey dressed up and seeing all the other costumes. Mommy and Audrey have big plans for the week of Halloween. We are going to the Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat at church on the 30th and to our neighborhood party on Halloween night! We may or may not have pictures to post since daddy won't be with us to take pictures.

Bath Time

Audrey loves bath time with momma and daddy. In the beginning she didn't like having her hair or face washed but now she lets momma do what has to be done as long as daddy keeps her belly wet with warm water!

Audrey Jane Williams was born at 927am on August 25th, 2012. She weighed 7 lbs 8.5 ounces and was 21 inches long. Despite begging for medication during triple peaking contractions when momma was stuck at 5cm and feeling the urge to push long before her body was ready we made it through natural and unmedicated just like we had hoped. Daddy and Jacqueline (our doula) were amazing. Now, 11 days later, it is so hard to believe how much our little girl has already changed! Her cord fell off on day 10 and she is making her preferences for eating and sleeping known. We've had lots of visitors and our enjoying our time while daddy is off from work. On an exciting side note our new carpet is being installed today and we will be able to post pictures of our newly remodeled basement soon.

36 weeks and 4 days

We are preparing for Audrey's arrival tonight we put the carseat in our "new"silver 2011 Dodge Caravan. Yes, we've converted to the dark side and became a mini van family! I also made major online purchases from Target and Babies R Us with gift cards. Hospital bag is still not packed but we have started. The scary (and exciting) thing is that she could come any time or I could be pregnant for another 5 weeks and 3 days ---Not that I'm counting or anything! I'm planning an overnight trip to Newport, KY with the girls for my friend Kelsey's bachelorette party this weekend and would really like to take computer classes for work on August 20th and 21st but Audrey may have other plans for us. Stuart and his parents have been working like madmen trying to finish our basement. We placed our carpet order and purchased a full mattress for the guest room today and they are priming the new dry wall as I type. They are working so hard and I am so excited to see the progress. A few weeks back a couple we are friends with were nice enough to do a maternity photo shoot.
